They are fresh, energized and raring to go. LG Electronics’ “DARE TO DREAM” campaign winners clearly relished topping a significant milestone in their fledgling careers.

By the time LG East Africa announced the top winners of the recently completed digital campaign dubbed the ‘DARE TO DREAM’ Talent Search, 400 videos packed with raw talent had gone through intense scrutiny over a four week period. Legendary Kenyan musician David Mathenge, alias Nameless said it was a tough task to select the final winner, given the quality of talent on show.

L-R Winners Fabius Ochieng, Valerie Nelima, LG AI DD Brand Ambassador Nameless, Dotty Lavine, Vincent Isika, LG’s Home Appliances Product Manager Mr. Mr. Eden Seo and LG East Africa MD Mr. Sa Nyoung Kim take a pose at the award ceremony.

The challenge required artists to upload videos to a dedicated microsite which then proceeded to public voting to find a winner. The winners were then selected by a combination of public votes as well as an in-house judging panel.

The winners included Fabius Ochieng for Best Dance Video, Valeri Nelima for the Best Rap Song, Dotty Lavine for Best Duet Song and Limbo Art Company for Special Effort Recognition.

Each of the winners received an LG AI DD Washing Machine as well as additional merchandise.

“It has been our great pleasure to witness Kenyan youth embrace the Dare to Dream Campaign by taking up the opportunity to showcase their creativity on our products,” said Mr. Sa Nyoung Kim, LG East Africa Managing Director. “This shows how valuable the digital age has become in the rise of the disruption as we continue to innovate relevant consumer products.”

The recently introduced LG AI DD Washing Machine features Artificial Intelligence that not only detects the weight of one’s load but also senses the softness of the fabric and it chooses the optimal motions for the fabric by itself. This is in addition to the TurboWash 360 features that enhance user convenience with Fast Wash, ensuring that your load is completed in at least 39 minutes.

In an interview with Success Africa, Nameless, who divulged that his own stage name and stellar career are the result of a talent search show over twenty years ago, said there is a wealth of talent in Kenya that needs to be tapped, and Africa is ripe to give the world its own version of world stars.

“We are proud to be improving the livelihood of Kenyan consumers especially in the difficult climate we continue to live in. With our LG AI DD laundry solution, Kenyans can remain assured that their  household clothing is protected from common allergens thanks to our innovative Steam+ TM feature,” added Mr. Kim.

The AI DD Washing Machine showcases LG’s commitment to creating practical, user-friendly features. Durable and reliable, the new washer boasts an energy rating of A***- 50 percent and comes with a 10-year warranty.

“We need to give more opportunities to the youth to stake their claim to leadership in every field, and genre to show to the world that Africa has arrived!” said the star.

Indeed it is by creating opportunities and touching lives of every generation that Africa will harness the immense potential as it rises to take its rightful place in global affairs.
