Courtesy

Africa is known for her culture of cordiality and respect. Due consideration of other participants’ views is emphasized. While politeness can’t be forced, rudeness is strictly prohibited. Avoid stylistics that portrays an overbearing attitude e.g. SHOUTING – content in FULL CAPS will not be accepted. However, a few words highlighted in full caps will be considered.

Language

Africa is home to diversity as reflected in its various tribal groupings and languages. English shall there remain the primary language of discussion here.
ABSTAIN FROM HATE SPEECH – Shaming, harassing, threatening or bullying other participants is prohibited. Decency shall be observed at all times. Racist, sexist, tribal or obscene posts shall be avoided. All participants have equal access to space in which they are free to share their opinion in matters pertinent to life on the continent.
PLEASE REMAIN RELEVANT! – Please avoid the temptation to digress and lead readers on to a wild goose chase that has nothing to do with your topic or content focus. However, flashbacks and comparisons are allowed if they help crystallize the point. Participants may suggest issues that they wish to stimulate debate on even if these are not covered on the website. Please send an email to editorial@successafrika.com to make a request. Our editorial team moderates all posts for consideration.

Law

Ensure what you state is based on verifiable facts. The reasonable and defensible opinion will pass. No personal attacks, name-calling, libel, defamation, or hate speech.
