COVID-19 disrupted many traditional social patterns in 2020 and 2021 but out of the crisis grew new opportunities for digital transformation and ICT infrastructure development. From an individual to an organizational level, digital technology continues to create new values and business patterns around the world.
Huawei was not exempted in the crisis and as they adopted to the new norm of working from home, a number of discoveries were made. Key among the discoveries was the fact that, as employees worked from home, the digital shift helped free them from time and energy wasted in meeting rooms as well as business trips to different countries, research centers, and representative offices.
Amazingly, while the traffic of virtual office services increased six fold, the expenses reduced by 28%.
