1. Appreciate yourself more
A lot of time, we get carried away by the things we want to achieve that we fail to recognize the ones we have successfully achieved. In 2022, be sure to thank yourself for everything you have achieved for yourself. Likewise, appreciate yourself for not giving up.
2. Stop comparing yourself to other people
Depression is real. Your mental health matters. Stop comparing yourself to other people, rather compare yourself to your previous self. Let it be you versus you. The way the world is wired; there is always someone better than you. So all you need to do is ensure that you are at your best and give your all. Value what you have now, so rather than making comparisons, focus on being a better version of whom you were yesterday.
3. Take Action
A common trait you’ll find in successful people with a good mental state is the habit of taking action. It is very vital to organize, plan, and set priorities, but without action, all the plans you’ve set are nothing but a potential.
Aiming for success means that you’re to act quickly and often – start even before you feel ready so you’re not filled with regrets for not taking that one vital step that could have elevated your status.
4. Eat healthy and exercise regularly
In 2022, don’t make your health a secondary priority. One lesson I learnt in 2021 is that sound health is underrated. You don’t realize how important sound health is until you lose it. Make sound health a priority this year, eat healthy, exercise regularly and treat all sickness appropriately. Do not neglect any part of your health.
5. Celebrate other people
In 2022, learn to celebrate people. A wise woman once said, ‘we rise by lifting others’. Lifting other people does not pull you down. Help others become better; consistently give out value. Give value to people.
