DT Dobie Highlights Local Assembly of the Volkswagen Polo Vivo

To highlight the local assembly of the Polo Vivo compact four door saloon DT Dobie has introduced two special editions which are available in limited numbers. Dubbed the Kenyan and Black and White editions both have an attractive and distinctive new personality.

The Kenyan edition has a decal of the Kenya map on each door and national coloured graphics along the side of the car giving a touch of the made in Kenya spirit.

The Black and White edition has a bold presence with a black roof, bonnet and a stripe down the sides. The final touches are black covers on the side mirrors.

The Polo Vivo can also be customized to suit the preferences of the buyer to create a personalized feel. Another attraction is a one year supply of free fuel.

The VW Polo Vivo Comfort line has a 1.6 litre 16 valve fuel efficient engine. The long list of safety equipment includes Anti-locking Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake Pressure Distribution (EBD), stability control and childproof locks on rear doors. There are three point seat belts in the front with height adjustment and belt tensioner with three key point seat belts for passengers in the rear.

Standard equipment features air-conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, USB/CD and SD card slot, alloy wheels and dual airbags. Instrument cluster with speedometer, tachometer, digital clock, fuel level and temperature indicators are among other features.

Four years ago assembly of the Volkswagen Polo Vivo at KVM brought new car ownership within reach of many more Kenyans as an attractive and cost effective alternative to buying used cars.  The buyers have the satisfaction of knowing that the Polos will have to be driven for five, or Six years before they reach the initial mileage of a used imported car.
