In 2019 Gary Farrant won the class for touring cars up to 2500cc with a 1983 Mercedes Benz for which he sourced several spare parts to enable preparation by Robert Gow. He is hoping that his recently acquired 1969 Series II Land Rover will be a serious competitor in the class for utility vehicles which will be the first to be judged after the opening ceremony for 2021 Concours.
Among the participants in the class for classic utility vehicles are likely to be Mohamed Fatehdin who was the winner in 2019 with a 1947 Ford V8 pick-up, Stephen Warui with a 1968 Volkswagen Kombi and Harry Thuku who will drive a 1970 Toyota Landcruiser along the judging line in front of the Racecourse grandstands. It is apparent that this will be one of the best supported classes in the event.
