How to Get Your Eyes “On the Money
By Sylvester Oluoch

How much could you accomplish if you developed the habit of accurate thinking? Near 100%. Accurate #thinking makes you a “one-track” thinker and trains you to focus on relevant facts only.

Accurate thinking is the process of reasoning to facilitate decision-making based on reliable and verifiable information, critical analysis, and logical evaluation of evidence. It is the ability to differentiate between facts and opinions, contextually understand of information, and assess the validity of arguments.

To become an #accurate thinker, train your mind to process information logically, rationally, and critically. It is the process through which you create balanced thinking.

Here are some ways to develop accurate thinking:

Develop a curious mindset:

If you are curious, you become open-minded and ask questions. This is the basis of more information gathering and deeper investigation.

Practice critical thinking:

Critical thinking involves evaluating information to determine its credibility, relevance, and accuracy. Always question assumptions, seek alternative explanations, and evaluate evidence.

Be objective:

Approach situations and information without bias. Look at things from multiple perspectives and consider different points of view.

Seek out diverse viewpoints:

Expose yourself to different perspectives and opinions. This helps you to avoid being stuck in a narrow way of thinking and broadens your worldview.

Use evidence-based reasoning:

Evidence-based reasoning involves using data and facts to support your arguments and conclusions. Do not rely on emotions or opinions alone.

Practice mindfulness:

Being mindful involves being aware of your thoughts and feelings. Stand guard against your emotions or biases when making decisions.

Learn to recognize cognitive biases:

Cognitive biases are errors in thinking that can distort your perception of reality. Recognizing these biases makes you clear-eyed and helps you avoid such preconceptions. Without suppression of your predispositions, there is no accuracy in thinking.

The Price: Practice, practice, practice, and persistent training of the mind. The returns: better strategies, and improved ability to reason logically and critically, hence improved focus on your magnificent obsession.
